GREAT BAY VOLLEYBALL 2021 SAND LEAGUE

Format and Eligibility Criteria:

Girls entering grades 8-12 in the fall of 2020 are eligible to play. With enough enrollment, we will split into two divisions. 

OPEN Division:

Players who have at least one year of varsity experience OR at least one year of experience on an “open” travel team (or by special exception at the sole discretion of league management) will be eligible for the open division. Open division teams may also have the option to attend at least one travel tournament and will be discussed with the director after registration. 

CLUB Division:

Players who have at least one year of experience at the high school level OR one year of experience on a juniors team (winter) will be eligible for the club division.

• You will play with the same partner for the entire summer. All players are expected to commit to the entire summer schedule.  
• Player’s on each team are expected to provide their own subs in the event one or the other cannot attend.  A sub list, to the extent that it exists will be provided.
• All Players must be NERVA members (including an up to date USA Volleyball membership).
• If you want to play but cannot commit to the majority of the days, please consider becoming a permanent sub.
• If you cannot find a partner but want to play for the entire summer, there is often another player in the same situation we can “set you up” with so let us know! 

Clinic and Schedule:

• A clinic will be held on a date to be announced to ensure all players understand all of the minor rule changes as well as expectations for the summer.  All players are encouraged to attend, all first-time players are required to attend.  There will be opportunity for open play on the clinic day.
• All matches will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a possible 3^rd day if demand requires more time. Note that each division plays twice per week except if noted in advance.
• Schedules will be sent to players so they can review for any conflicts.

Cost:

• $50.00 registration fee per player, which includes a t-shirt. There is a $10 (price subject to have been changed) USA Volleyball membership fee (waived if the player is already registered from the 2020-2021 USAV club season).

• There is a 12 - team cap on each division and spots will be given to those who register first.    If there is enough demand, we can look at expanding the current divisions or adding a third division.
• Returning players do not have a reserved spot, so register early!
